Creating a DigitalOcean API Token for Platus Integration

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

1. DigitalOcean Account:
   • You must have an active DigitalOcean account. If you don't have one, you can sign up here.

2. Permissions to Generate API Tokens:
   • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to generate API tokens in your DigitalOcean account.

Creating a DigitalOcean API Token

1. Login to DigitalOcean:

   • Go to the DigitalOcean Control Panel.

2. Navigate to API Section:

   • In the left-hand menu, click on API.

3. Generate a New API Token:

   • Under the Personal Access Tokens section, click Generate New Token.
   • Enter a Name for the token (e.g., platus-api-token).
   • Set the Scope to Read (this is sufficient for monitoring purposes).
   • Click Generate Token.

4. Save the API Token:

   • The API token will be displayed only once. Copy the token and store it securely. This token is required to configure Platus.
